Corporate Service Day

Big Shoulders Fund works with corporate partners to coordinate various Service Days at a school site year-round. These volunteer opportunities center around school beautification projects, engaging with students, and supporting educators on a wide range of projects that enable the school to thrive. Service Days offer key opportunities for a company to make a meaningful impact on schools and students, while also placing them directly into the schools Big Shoulders Fund serves. This fosters a more intentional relationship that allows volunteers to see the impact of their efforts in real time and creates real connections between students and volunteers.

Big Shoulders Fund schedules Corporate Service Days based off availability provided by the company/organization inquiring and needs communicated by the school sites. Service Days can last a whole day or for a half day. Once a Service Day is scheduled, activities may include the following: cleaning, landscaping, painting, organizing school supplies and storage spaces, reading to students, supporting students with coursework and assignments, and more.
